Oh, God!

It's so awesome!

I'm near Ryan's office and it's just getting so juicy good. I feel so weak in the game, though. I feel like I have no chance against the Nancys anymore, and nine health kits just aren't enough.

What a good game. It has renewed my faith in computer games.

Yes, I know it's old.

On the way up in the elevator, you’ll be told that you no longer have

access to Vita-Chambers. If you die here, you’ll have to start over at

the beginning of the fight (i.e. this elevator). Keep that in mind as you are

fighting. Try to use a good combo of First Aid Kits and the health station in

the back of the room to keep yourself alive.

You’ll spot your enemy directly in front of you in a contraption that

looks a lot like the torture device from the first Metal Gear Solid game. Run

up the stairs and get as close to him as possible Press A to use your syringe

to suck out a bit of his ADAM. You’ll notice he starts with four ADAM

icons and when you drain him now, he’ll drop to three.

After you’ve drained him, he will slap you across the room and transform

into his fire form. He only has an attack or two, but they are both deadly. He

will either charge you and knock you down of shoot fireballs at you,

but both

are fairly easy to avoid.

No one particular weapon works much better than any other, so just use your

most powerful guns.

The Frag grenades and Heat Seeking RPGs work well,

as do the exploding shotgun shells. Interestingly enough, Liquid Nitrogen (Chemical

Thrower ammo) will stop this guy in his tracks for a few seconds. It

doesn’t hurt him much but it will give you an extra second to line up a

good shot. Just keep moving and pounding him with everything you’ve got.

When you drain his energy to zero, he’ll reappear in his machine and

give you the chance to steal more of his ADAM. Once you do, he’ll knock

you back again and transform into his ice form, which is almost identical to

his fire form. The same strategy works here.

Drain his energy again and you’ll need to deal with his electric form,

which is also exactly like his fire and ice forms. Once you drain his energy a

third time, get his last bit of ADAM and the fight will be over. Watch the cut-

scene and check out the ending.

Congratulations on finishing Bioshock!

If you followed this walkthrough,

beginning to end, you should have unlocked 49 of the 50 achievements and

collected every single item in the game. If you want proof of the

achievements, my Xbox 360 gamertag is jewhater696969 – check my achievements

for yourself and drop me a note while you are at it. Achievement #50 is gained

by finishing the game on hard, so if you are an achievement junkie, play

through the game again on the higher difficulty.

Yeah, there's quite a bit left if you're just at Ryan's office, the hardest parts are yet to come. And this game really should not be tough unless you're playing on the hardest difficulty. I usually play on normal with no vita chambers and only using the wrench and electro bolt except for Big Daddy fights, that's a nice little challenge.

I didn't really, either. I bought Bioshock because I was just plain ol' exhausted with first-person shooters. Yes, Bioshock is a FPS, but it has other elements that don't make it just a FPS. I'm so glad I bought it.

I love how most of the game involves searching dead bodies and looking in ash trays, etc.

An added bonus to my roommate breaking down my door and stealing my computer speakers ($15 value, and he didn't take the AC adapter, lol) is that I have to play with headphones. Scary at night!

I think the game is hard on normal. =)

I got Eternal Darkness a few months ago (recommended by this forum), and at first I was a little creeped out, but I got used to it pretty quickly.  I don't know why I couldn't do this with Rule of Rose, though.

What do you mean by being creeped out? Did the game scare you?

My favorite game is still Doom 3 because I could only play it for about 35 minutes before breaking down from fear. I even bought surround sound at the time just for the game.

I loved to quit the game and just sit around and think about what I just went through. Ahh, video game bliss.

Do they make "surround sound" headphones? I'm not really interested in surround sound speakers anymore.

fuck me in the ass yes they do! *digs for thread*

PIONEER SE-DHP2000, it will cost around $449 for both the wireless transmitter and the actual headphones

they are wireless, have the ability for additional phones to the wireless reciever, they delivery massive amazing dolby 5.1 surround sound through only 2 capsules (using a digital psych acoustic algorithm that sounds fucking unbelievable) and they are very sturdily built much better design than 90% of headphones out there.

and they are so high tech that they aren't even sold in the united states yet. for the past 2 years these have been exclusively sold in japan.

i've heard on these hardcore nerdy surround forums that the only headphones that come close are the Panasonic RP-WH7000 , havent tried them myself.

but if you want high quality, imax movie theatre quality sound and bass that makes you feel like taking a shit all from a pair of headphones you need to get these ASAP.

bonus: watching star wars episode III with a pair of these gave me the same auditory orgasmic feeling as being on lsd while sober

Aww, man! I can't drop five bills on headphones. Thanks, though. They look pretty rad. Right now I'm using a $20 Logitech headset I bought at Walmart.

I might have been a little concerned, but that's not the same thing.  Being scared and being creeped out aren't the same thing for me anyway.  I am easily startled, and susceptible to creepy atmosphere, but I can watch a horror movie and be bored out of my skull.  But Eternal Darkness got a little formulaic. "Find something in the house, change characters, go crazy, find something in the house, change characters, go crazy," etc.  I'm sure Bioshock isn't as formulaic, but I don't do as well playing survival/horror games as I do just watching movies.  I would readily watch a Bioshock movie, since it does sound interesting.

I love this game. I have a copy but it's somehow got all scratched up, which is really disappointing. Should I just go and buy a new copy? Like, this afternoon? I'm pretty bored.

Iain, if you had it on PC you could download steam and use your cd key to get it through there.
