Cheap Hi Def Tvs?

Recommended Posts

I have a shite like 14 inch TV from RCA thats about 7 years old, and Im ready to upgrade to Hi def...but have very little money to spare.

Anything more than 14 inches would be awesome....but im not willing to part with 1400 dollars for some mammoth motherfucker.

does anyone know any good deals? stories about where they got theirs?

im fuckin behind the times....

I got a 32" 1080p sony bravia for $650 on sale.

KDL-32VL140

I use it as a computer monitor. Got it from Futureshop, which is the same as BestBuy.

It's actually the same hardware as their top end model in a cheap looking bezel and with the 120hz feature disabled.

don't get a cheap HDTV unless you want to be wowed by overly sharp pixelated images that look slightly HD imo

i got a pioneer 42" for $1200 a year ago and i have no regrets

Take a look at LG's LCDs and plasmas... you can get some real good deals with their products. Visio also makes some decent low-end HDTVs.

What maximum resolution can you run on it?

1920x1080. Currently using a $12 mini displayport to HDMI adapter from monoprice.com. It's pixel-perfect.

The dot pitch is pretty high compared to a normal monitor, which is nice if you're trying to save your eyesight, or you like having your screen more than a few inches away.
