Reviews in from The Wire and NME!

Been creating some nice tees and hoodies for Spreadshirt lately, thanks primarily to the talents of designer Nate Reeves, which have exceeded my expectations in terms of finished quality.

Meanwhile, the album's out in stores now, as well as the usual download sites, Bleep, Amazon, eMusic etc. I'm so glad it's finally out there, as it's been far too long since the last long player.

This album is just.....just.....just listen to it on the Ochre website. I'm loving Hang Garden, Raido and Napolese. This liquid album is cast from my speakers and melts the air in the room...tongue.gif

Hang Garden is my favourite track, I like how the rhythm melts with the melody. Maybe there's too much tracks from the EP that I had already listened but since the EP was very good and the new tracks are too so that makes a very good album.

I think the cover looks nice except maybe for the brown strips but I guess that was to fit in the CD size.

i like this album a lot

one time i was riding my bicycle in the forest listening to it, and pteron came on, and this snake slithered by on the trail and it totally went with the song

was awesome

didn't realise och re lurks the forums when i made this thread. the album's really really good mr ochre.

I knew this, but then again I already know Mr Ochre's a very nice man anyway.

By his own standards, I'd say this album is a bit lazy given how much (or how little) of it is actually new stuff, although from what I've gleaned from his own site he has quite a bit on which might have hampered his usually prolific output. In the broader sense though, this is a maginficent album, and probably one of the best releases of 2009. Predictably, for an Ochre album.

I'm playing this now for the first time. A bit different from what I expected considering the past two albums. It feels more organic, more classical in a way. More chill maybe? I don't know exactly how to describe it, but I like it a lot. On this particular track (Lunar Suburbia) I'm hearing both BoC and Plaid. But the album as a whole definitely feels like its own thing, not a rip off or anything. Just influences shining through. Quality. Nice work, Ochre.

This album is especially good. Ochre takes such leaps forward with each album, i can hardly imagine what brilliance might be next.

I'm wondering if there is any music you like that i don't like side. fricking hell, every album

you mention i am fricking crazy over.

I bet I could come up with some. It would probably have to be non-electronic though.
