this guy hands down writes the best children's picture books. all really smart and witty, but also loveable. and his drawings are really accessible.

favorites: Knuffle Bunny I (of course), Naked Mole Rat and Edwina, The Dinosaur Who Didn't Know She Was Extinct. Hard to pick a favorite pigeon book, but the first one is still probably the best.

i was looking after my little cousin and we went into a barnes & noble and he was there, doing a reading and book signing. i hadn't heard of him but my cousin had, so i bought her his new book and we went up and got it signed. he's a nice guy, i liked his books and his presentation was funny and appealed to the adults as well as the kids there. i also just realized that he used to write sesame street scripts, apparently.
