i picked this program up to turn mkv files to avi files .really the only movies i want to convert are anime which have subtitles.... the subs aren't transferring at all...

 

i don't wantto go back to that virtualdubmod shit either

AVI is a bad format for subtitles... if you can, try DIVX or MP4 as alternatives.
