I find myself conflicted:  I can't stand spiders, but these actually have that "googly-eyed" cute factor.

Those things hang out in my room. There was one in there for like a month. Real small but impossible to kill because they jump like crazy.

my arachnophobic housemates ed n emily would (if they were about) be probably quoted as saying something like:

they do that, you see. its camouflage... they pretend that they're all cute and cuddly and then KAPOW! the devil-creatures aim for your neck! 

I once had a pet jumping spider when I was in 3rd grade, I named him Fred, and he loved to scurry up and down my arm.
