bay city rollers

alright, so the combined power of watmm changed my opinion of Huey Lewis and the News. but can it change my opinion of this Scottish pop/rock band of the 1970s? i bet it can't. have they ever made an exciting album? don't tell me It's a Game is good because you're lying. only 40 year old teenagers like this band, and they don't actually like this band, but the members have endured numerous and varied struggles regarding royalty payments, substance abuse, and personal legal problems.

these days the bay city rollers' offspring are a common sight in glasgow chippies - ripped to the tits on temazepam and shit english buckfast, and having a fist fight over three slices of deep-fried pizza between them.

a fitting end to a group that at their best sounded like a contact microphone inserted half an inch into my rusty sherrif's badge, then passed through a ringmod - the day after international balti/bhaji day - on which i happened to drink eleven pints of guinness.

there is no changing any opinion of this scottish pop/rock band of the 1970s.

only black hate, and red, red visions of offal.
