internet bookmarks mayhem

anyone else have like, way too many bookmarks? i just opened up my organize bookmarks thingy, and i have about 800 pages bookmarked. on my old computer, theres probably another couple few hundred. thats like over 1000 bookmarked pages

im obsessed with not losing a piece of valuable information i read on a page, so i just bookmark it, and move on. life is too short to make sense of them all, but theres some gold in them, i swear

maybe i need some firefox plugin that can auto-categorize them by site or something. that would be almost too convienient

xmarks is brilliant. i just click the bookmark star in firefox whenever i want to remember something and then i have it across all my computers.

do you use folders? i find that helps.

holy shit so that is what that start is for! that would have been incredibly useful two years ago. thanks. is xmarks the same as the star or is it different?

i have some folders, but i found it too time consuming to place a certain page in a certain folder. i guess i just need to sit down for a day and categorize them into their respective folders.

as long as theres someone else out there like me, everything will be ok

whats that? i also dont understand the concept of an rss feed

you just bookmark things as normal and it syncs them all to their server, you can add tags if you bookmark manually (right click)

it sounds kind of useless to me though, rarely do i double bookmark something, or the page becomes nonexistant. i declare your suggestion useless. do you know of an addon that scans all of your bookmarks and creates folders for bookmarks sharing the same sites? that would be incredible

i just went to the site and became confused. social bookmarking? im not at all intersted in sharing my bookmarks with anyone. what is this malarki?

i used to worry about organising my bookmarks into folders and whatnot but it's not really necessary in firefox now when you can just type a few words into the location bar and you get a list of relevant bookmarks.
