I've always found Modeselektor's sound design\palate to be really cheap and boring. They occasionally have a nice melody or two, and sometimes the beat kicks all right, but it usually sounds pretty amateurish to me.

when i saw them in israel in 07 - they barely played their own material..it was rather nice...a great dance mix they put together with visuals and a dancer

Modeselektor live = the bees knees.

Good show, good sound, nice dynamic in their set.

90% of watmm knows shit about dance music.

i am not so much about modeselektor in general,, ,i am into more minimal/exotic shit BUT i saw them in SF last week, and it was the best party of the year!!@ They killed it so good,, opening djs were terrible though. but for one hour,, the place became a spaceship and blasted the fuck off!!! never heard of deadmouse.
