Japan invents real life Tachikoma Robot

I'm sure more than a few people here have seen ghost in the shell: stand alone complex. There's these robots called Tachikomas that use rollerskate-style movement to get around:

Interesting.. I can imagine how useful that would be in society. I can't wait to see how much robotics progress within the next 20 years time.
