YEK
that doesn't use a whole lot of cpu. isn't overly complicated. and hopefully, one that you can stretch the samples granularly, for good effect. Guest Jimbob
Disco DSP is alright. Guest RadarJammer
http://tx16wx.blogspot.com/ The new version is looking pretty fly, if it gets stable it would easily replace shortcircuit IMO Not sure if elcallio is accepting new testers but there aren't that many active ones in the group so far and if you wanna see this thing rock solid it couldn't hurt to email him a beta inquiry. AAAAh
TX16wx is amazing and free. Poise is probably the best drum sampler vst and obviously renoise is ace. Battery has a lot of great features but I never use it because I like using Poise way more. Last time I checked was like a year and a half ago but it seemed like Poise is the only drum sampler that lets you throw layers of samples on a single pad and have them round robin, switch at random or layer togethor at once tight or loose soo easily. Shortcircuit is the shit sampler with melodic instruments for keys etc. On 6/1/2009 at 4:52 AM, mrx said: Shortcircuit is also good and free. Looks fun. I would suggest Directwave...it does timestretch and it can even record (!) which is not so common in vst samplers. Shortcircuit 1 is cool, but it has this slow attack envelope bug (since version 1.1.2 or smth) which can fuck with you drum hit transients (lowest attack envelope possible= 0.977ms.) And Shortcircuit 2 feels a bit unfinished. awepittance
are there VSTi samplers out there that have less noticeable artifacts when time stretching/pitch shifting than Kontakt has? i'm still using the Reaktor patch 'resynth' to do a lot of my melodic sampling, and i havent found anything that sounds as good besides Kontakt (which im guessing is just using the reaktor bits inside of itself) Thanks Haha Confused Sad Facepalm Burger Farnsworth Big Brain Like × Quote Hide awepittance's signature Hide all signatures Link to comment https://forum.watmm.com/topic/46138-best-sampler-vsti/#findComment-1865465 Share on other sites

ryancolecreate
I think that samplers are definitely a neglected area of virtual instrument development. I just hate NI (I think I say that in every thread) and Kontakt is no exception. The UI just fucking blows big dicks. Why can't you just reverse a single samples?
