abacadabra played it on our college's radio station and it was fantastic. i think it might be what you're looking for.

I absolutely love this album

i like the stuff posted. already heard "dreams" a while ago, great album. i also like the track catsonearth posted. what i'm really looking for is some kind of "noir" jazz, or something. really dark and moody. vocals would be ok.

I'll recommend a miles album I haven't heard yet but have been meaning to pick up - get up with it. supposedly, the first track was a big influence on eno's ambient stuff.

the two first Brian Ellis albums on benbulca were awesome some of the best atmospheric jazz i've heard in ages
