'Antarctic' means "of Antarctica", similar to "Canadian" meaning from, or of Canada. So saying "Antarctic mountains" is not wrong, its just saying the mountains are associated in some way with/located at, the South pole. Or are you referring to something else beyond my brain's vision? (which is most likely the case)

No, I coincidently left out a "c" before the "t". I've since fixed it, hence your confusion.
