rocketdock - awesome macesque dock for win

it is most awesome

i am very near to abandoning a taskbar. there are enough widgets and shit available that i can stick a menu with my less-used things on it somewhere on the bar.

very light on cpu too. i haven't been as chuffed over a sweet little util since sequioaview *puts sequioaview on bar*.

i use this and i like it

the only problem i have is not being able to right click my computer

*checks* yeah, weird.

you can rclick recycle bin but i think it implements that following windows conventions, whereas it uses a weird hack to get my computer on the bar.

if you enable 'minimize windows to bar', there's a sweet zoom to/from bar effect. and it brings it even closer to a taskbarless environment.

did someone say dock?

actually i haven't - what is osx, kalle? is it some other microsoft product?

in my brief experience using a mac this was the one thing that stood out as awesome to me. i wouldn't mind a hackintosh but it's a lot of effort. a guy at work sports a very nice hackintosh/dell netbook.

and i already have two computers in my room. when winter comes i'm going to just set the ancient grime-encrusted server to crunch primes all day
