Guest theSun
so i'm playing around a bit with reason and live, basically i just set up a minimal demo song to try and fix this problem with a bunch of redrums going to separate audio tracks in live. not every time, but a lot of times the percussion hits are crackled to hell. it basically sounds like the worst peak ever. nothing is peaking though. i've played around as much as i can with the latency settings in live, not sure what else to do. halp? Guest theSun
the cpu isn't maxing, it helped a little restarting my machine. this computer should have no problem running live and reason at the same time... anyone have any other suggestions? Guest onehandbandit
Sounds like your sound card, this happens to my m-audio external sometimes is usually fixed, for about 20 minutes, by closing all the programs and switching the card off and on again (massive pain in the arse). Flicking the latency to maximum sometimes helps, but if you've already tried that then I'm out of ideas. What sound card are you running? Guest Drahken
I run into same effect sometimes when chaining VST's on older cheap sound cards (Realtek usually), only in Ableton. I suspect is has something to do with routing stuff in and out of the application in conjunction with older sound cards as it only happens when using 3rd party software and ableton at the same time. Try updating drivers if there are any. I never have this happen on newer machines, and some VSTs seem to be worse than others (I'm looking at you absynth) Quote Link to comment https://forum.watmm.com/topic/46304-livereason-inquiry/#findComment-1060921 Share on other sites
zazen
if you're on a laptop, try using asio4all (its free) instead of an external soundcard Thanks Haha Confused Sad Facepalm Burger Farnsworth Big Brain Like × Quote Link to comment https://forum.watmm.com/topic/46304-livereason-inquiry/#findComment-1060926 Share on other sites
