Piano Improvisation

I just wanted to post this little improv session that I recorded a while back. It brings together a bunch of ideas I've been messing around with. I think I will work most of this into my suite for jazz band. At one point I start tripping over my own polyrhythms, but I save myself pretty quickly.

You've got some pretty nice melodies going on in there. I definitely enjoyed the listen.

yes very nice-- what kind of piano did you use? for the most part your improvisation sounded pretty seamless. a couple times i thought "i wish that one note hadn't been played" but all in all a very nice piano jam. i'd love to get my hands on a piano again...

damn phil, i think the playing is bomb yo, got great flow going, doesn't sound not-4/4, diggin the melody direction changes... to me it sounded like the pace uncomfortably shifts sometimes, but whatever you do is what you do...
