idm?

pretty cluttered at the moment, i've handed it over to the keyboard player from my band (who is an awesome buzz producer) to see if he can do something with it.

it's the second version of this track so far, here's the original:

the original is a bit more concise, mostly because the remix hasn't had much work put into it, i just slowed the original version down and put different beats on it.

not sure where it will fall genre wise, but i like both versions so far .

i enjoyed both, but like the slow mix better, was quite chill. i especially liked the funky 303esque noise.

it does reminds me of some game, Genesis in particular, but it's a really good track. Those cowbells remind of of SAW 85-92

the 303s are ok I guess but they're too hidden in the mix right now

the remix is pretty good, I dunno I keep imagining it going into something psytrance-sounding but it never happens - I think I'd like it better if it was more rearranged from the original tune

thanks for listening! the 303s are intentionally hidden in the mix, though the high 303 melody in the final version will kinda sweep out when i want it to stand out. in the end i want it to be fairly ambient and minimal, which is pretty much the opposite of what it is now, haha!
