middle of a drought, 101 degrees of summer fun, and people are exploding stuff.

i'm getting ready to go stand outside all day at a friend's and bbq.

My friend just gave me a call from Dubai, he's with a bunch of Americans and they're all having a big barbecue and party to celebrate Will Smith.

i'm going to get drunk, eat steak and blow something up just for all my american brethren.

i love this man with a passion. from an early age i decided that if i could be any celebrity, i would like to be will smith. he is a perfect human being.

so it was pretty horrible for the first few hours. i was at a big bbq and pool party in honor of the movie Independance Day (not Will Smith, for you brits who seem a little confused, though he does get a nod in the closing prayer). but once most of the nondrinkers left i finally got to get into that pool and suddenly 100 F doesn't mean shit. chilling with a faggy clove on a floaty thing in a saltwater pool (they are the shit!) that was all pleasure. we had some squirt guns and i was arming all the kids and telling them which targets to take out. real special ops shit.

and later i was holding smoke bombs and doing the "purple haze" scene in apocalypse now where the surfer dude is all shellshocked and having fun. and one exploded in my hand and got red pigment all over it. freaked me the hell out since it looked like my hand was all bloody and burned. and my friend's sister was there and she looked like a pornstar in a bathing suit, perfect body, except the really tacky tattoos. then we watched a Steven Segal movie really really high and kept telling him to "control the wrist!" and he always would.
