sorry for offtopic, but, sk-1 is a sampler right? you can make fenix funk-ish pads with those??

its a little sampler yeah. Its really nice. I guess you could. Those pads sound like a vocal run through n 8 bit sampler to me. Maybe sample your voice then take the sample and put it in a newer sampler for fine tuning.

if you get a casio sk-1 because you want fenix sounds, you'll be sorely disappointed.

get a fenix if that's what you want.

sk-1 is real ghetto, but it's a barrel of laughs at a party. bust it out after everyone's had three or four rounds, and you'll be in stitches within a minute or two

If I wanted to make breathy pad sounds the "fenix" is the last synth I would use. Pads, emphasis on pads.. Not everything in fenix funk came from the fenix you know right? It just has the name of it in the title. He's a genius sure, but not a miracle worker.

went back and listened to fenix funk -- never noticed that, cool!! could be an sk-5 too.... ;)

anyways, you should have been clear that it doesn't sound like a fenix, because that's what i thought you were claiming!!
