Guest Thisket
Loves forever. I went through a phase where I wrote "Grace Jones" as my mother on emergency contact forms. Guest maantecaaa!!!
Not sure if it's new. I was following a link to a caribbean steel drum band playing Transmission by Joy Division. That was a pretty amazing cover too. Look for it. SCONES TO DIE FOR
It's from 1980 apparently. Sounds like the period she was working with Sly and Robbie. Guest analogue wings
The 2CD compilation Private Life: The Compass Point Sessions (came out in 1998) has this 8 minute version plus the 8 minute dub version. It's pretty much all the Grace you need. Collects all the best shit she did with Sly and Robbie from 80-82 - mostly in unreleased longer rinsed out versions. About half the tracks are covers of hip post punk/new wave tracks from that era - Pretenders, Roxy Music, Police, etc. She also covers Smokey Robinson, Johnny Cash and Melvin Van Peebles.
