does anyone actually listen to this? i cannot.

cylob's remix is ace, any other ventolin's that are listenable unlike the original?

73-Yips is almost as obnoxious, but I will prefer ventolin before that song any day

Ventolin is one of those tracks like Donkey Rhubarb that weren't listenable to me at first, but that I grew to love. It's an ace track, don't give up on it.

I love the original Ventolin, although I like the Cylob version better. Try listening to the original on nitrous oxide... something utterly miraculous happens, due to the fact that the "annoying" high pitched noise corresponds to the high pitched noise you hear in your "head" when doing nitrous.

i never had any problems with ventolin on icbyd, i have always really enjoyed it, and dare i say love it. i didn't even notice the high pitches the first listen.

the coppice mix is where it's at. There's a high pitched squeal about two minutes in which always destroys my speakers. I'm not sure if it's meant to be like that or if the file is corrupted somehow.

Ventolin (Praze-An-Beeble mix) is one of my all-time favourite tracks. It really sparks my imagination with its crazy sounds and spooky atmosphere, and that moment at 1:52 is just amazing

the whole double 12" is excellent

i bought both records for £2 each in 1994 which to this day is probably the most value for money i have ever got out of a purchase

many tracks are super duper or better at 45rpm too.... like marazanvose and plain n gwarry and the coppice (which at 45rpm is like a simple precursor to the afx take on jungle/dnb)

in fact i was surprised when i first heard the ep on compact disc that some of the tracks weren't meant to be at 45rpm .... the pitched down drum beats suggested to me that they were intended to work at 45rpm (as a little bonus to vinyl users)

crowsmengegus is just fucking brilliant at any speed

carharrack is fantastic and puts the willies right up me

probus (at 45) and cylob's mix are 2 of my favourite afx tracks

vibert's deep gong mix is cool like a throbbing pouch bonus track (again fun at either speed)

asthma beats rocks my wanksock

salbutamol and wheeze are probably my 2 least favourite tracks on there. i like them both much better at 45

when this record came out it really hammered home how far ahead of the world the aphex twins were at making the electrical music songs

or at least how much more character and personality his music had / has

Crowsmengegus is really, really nice, make me think to space, galaxies and that. Probus is a good one too. I don't listen to other mixes now but it surely with come with years...

Does anyone else hear the almost un-noticeable high frequency at 1:44-1:45 in Crowsmengegus? Just so it's ventolinesque.

the ventolin remixes are so brilliant! all of them

I don't like the remixes.

I can listen to the Video Version without that feeling of "torture" because i have tinnitus and got used to high pitch noises.
