also shpongle is ridiculously good, if you can get past any bias against the hippy-ness of it. it's pretty incredible, actually. also, it's not quite trance. i would call it insanely psychedelic electronic world music. the term psychedelic meaning if you're high and you listen to it, it will blow your mind open. it's great not high too (i still listen to it sometimes and i don't smoke these days), but it's as if they tailored it to fit the stoned experience. that might sound stupid, but it seems true when you're listening to it high.

tales of the inexpressible is the best, in my opinion. "star shpongled banner" is one of my favorite songs ever.

shpongle has a way of elevating you slowly with their songs. it will start standard, and then level up, and up, and up until you have no idea what the fuck is going on.
