Why can't I buy it like any other cd by them. I haven't found it anywhere online (or offline), just a couple of used ones with insane prices and in pretty bad shapes (yellow stickers, stickers removed etc.). Did Warp print them in smaller edition than other Ae albums? Are they gonna reissue it? And does anyone have some article or forum topic about this issue where it's explained?

I've found all Ae releases to be hard to find, except for perhaps the more recent ones (Untilted and Quaristice can be found pretty easily around here, though Untilted has mainly been taken over by Quari).

There's a great record shop near here that opened up a couple of years ago that have managed to stock all the Ae releases I've wanted. Slowly but surely. They had the second Peel Session EP in a few months ago which I had never seen stocked anywhere until then. Of course I bought it.

Man in Australia I had to bust a nut trying to get all of AE's albums. The only ones I could find in stores were confield-quaristice and chiastic slide (which I've only seen once in all the stores I've been to in Australia). The rest I had to hunt on ebay or grab from amazon. Totally worth it, though I remember LP5 being particularly hard to grab.

did you ever go to sound and fury in darlinghurst? that place had tons of autechre, too bad they're not around anymore. regardless, i remember seeing quite a lot of autechre albums in record stores when i lived in sydney. red eye records in the city had quite a good selection! (they also had about 70 different tangerine dream albums, lol)

i regret not buying the fals.ch compilation from there, it had a gescom track on it.

Took me 5 seconds

Or get the digital mp3. Or try ebay. It's really not hard dude.

Discs become out-of-print indeed, they all do, all the back-catalogue of every artists. It's normal in the "old" business of the music industry. I say old because it's completely obselete as a method. I congratulate companies like WARP whom with Bleep who have their entire back catalogue of every artist available.

Other labels should get a hint about it, so that it's not the resellers that get high price from reselling them on ebay, but the label themselves that still sell a unit at normal price. Everybody is a winner that way.

As I said - insane prices of the new items and really bad shapes of used ones.

I had no problem getting all the Ae albums (even the older ones like Chiastic Slide and Incunabula are available on Amazon, and you can get Amber from Warpmart), just that LP5 is causing me trouble, and I really don't know why. Seems like no one really has an explanation about that.

And since Warp repressed just Incunabula so far, I don't think that waiting for a repress is an option. I think I'll just go and buy some really crappy and cheap used one just for satisfaction of completing the collection, till some better option appears.

They've also repressed Chiastic Slide recently cause I've seen a couple new 2LP copies in some stores, so just wait and it'll eventually pop up somewhere. Some of the sellers on discogs actually sell their cds/lps at decent prices, so go there if you can't wait.

Actually they repressed all the early albums around the same time.

nope, my u.s./nothing copy of ep7 is the same deal, no fancypants case or bonus pregap track, and as for the latter you really aren't missing much of anything
