ISP options in New York City - NERD TOPIC ALERRRRT

I need your help New York watmmers. I just moved into an apartment in Bushwick, Brooklyn; the internet is currently being hijacked from another apartment.

Looking for internet options, I've come up with Roadrunner, Verizon, RCN and a few odd ones like Optimum (?). From your experience, what would you suggest? I'm looking for cable, pretty good upload speeds, since I do a lot of freelance motion graphic design.

I don't know anything about roadrunner, def not optimum.

I used to do tech support for Road Runner. The New York office was always busy, we could never transfer anyone there.
