  Quote
The shared lives of six distinctly different characters who at times find themselves at a specific set of coordinates that allows them to continue life in a new body are detailed in director Iván Ávila Dueñas' mind-bending drama. When this threshold is crossed, however, an unusual mutation occurs. Now, as one of these characters experiences a remarkable transformation, their bizarre out-of-body experience forms an entirely new network of experiences and memories. ~ Jason Buchanan, All Movie Guide

I must say I really enjoy this soundtrack. I am glad Murcof did not follow the same direction as in The Versailles Sessions. This is pretty much in the same vein as Remembranza, so do not expect a second disappointment from Murcof. A recurrent problem that bothers me in those tracks is the track durations: many of them start greatly, then finish suddenly (keep in mind it is a soundtrack).

Sounds good, Remembranza is actually my favorite. I thought Cosmos was a bit disappointing and didn't even bother with The Versailles Sessions. Will hae to keep an eye out for this...

Listening to it right now and yes it does sound A LOT better than The Versailles Sessions. I mean, I've only listened to that album once. Still, he should make more Remembranza-sounding stuff. That album was epic. Definitely in my Top 3 albums of all time. But he really needs to be careful with all that ambient shit he's been playing around with for the last 2 albums (and his upcoming Oceano as well) because it gets boring waaaay too quick.

I'll put La Sangre Iluminada on my iPod tomorrow so I can listen to it on my way to the doctor. You can't listen to a Murcof album and not pay attention.

sounds great

can't wait for Oceano:

I'm going to have to skip my job if I go watch him which is quite a dilemma because it's not more than a couple of weeks ago since I called in sick even though I wasn't.

I love parts of The Versailles Sessions. The lesson for the future for instance. Oh yeah it is well done. Maybe this is, because I also like Baroque Music sometimes. The singing is from Henry Purcells semi opera "Dido and Aeneas" by the way. An important passage in that semi opera, is Dido singing "Ah Belinda". In the Murcof recording, you hear the "peace and I ..." text... Here's an original (though I don't like Janet Baker here, sounds like a grandmummy to me):

Best known passage is Didos lament ("When I'm laid in earth")... Very famous, soooo sad, sooo sweet. YOU MUST LISTEN TO IT. PERIOD. One of the pieces which helped me appreciate singing.

^This.

I think I might sell my copy of Cosmos on ebay so I can afford Oceano. But idk, that album's growing on me. Remembranza is definitely his best so far, hope the new one is more in that style.
