Since first breaking into the mainstream in 2004 with their hit, "Float On", platinum-selling artist Modest Mouse has broken boundaries for indie music. Their impressive back catalog has become essential for hardcore fans to own, and they are often treated with b-sides and rare tracks from the band. No One's First and You're Next is a collection of newly recorded songs from the We Were Dead Before the Ship Even Sank and Good News for People Who Love Bad News sessions, as well as two rare b-sides. Three 7" limited edition, hand-numbered singles were released over the course of 3 months, all leading up to the release of this comprehensive collection of songs, including two additional tracks, King Rat and I've Got it All (Most). This is sure to be a must-have for their dedicated fanbase.

Track Listings

2. Guilty Cocker Spaniels

3. Autumn Beds

4. The Whale Song

the whale song is dope and the first song ain't bad, the rest is meh. makes me sad too since everything they did before good news was fuckin brilliant. i'm just not a fan of isaac's new singing style or all the horns and accordions and whatever the fuck else all over the last album (and this ep). BAH. please go back to being awesome, modest mouse. love, olson.

Might I suggest Build to Spill as an appropiate replacement. They've been better at being modest mouse than modest mouse have, plus they've been around longer. Check out There's nothing wrong with love

Everything Built to Spill has done has been completely kickass mcradical, and they have a new album out in October.

this MM EP was pretty good imo. i know it's total heresy, but i don't like much before moon and antartica. some stuff on good news was great though.

the only thing i don't really like on no one's first is the whale song, i can't stand it
