Dam-Funk is currently putting finishing touches on his debut album Toeachizown which will be released this Fall as 5/LP set - two and a half hours of music - with CD version to follow.

 

Toeachizown is a modern funk album, created in five distinct parts: LAtrik, Fly, Life, Hood, Sky. Stones Throw will be releasing a few of these volumes digitally prior to the vinyl & CD release in Fall. LAtrik is available now exclusively at stonesthrow.com.

Part 1, LAtrik, is out now. I don't know 'bout chu but I love me some Dam-Funk. I really enjoyed his Rhythm Trax Vol. 4. He also throws it down here in LA for Funkmosphere every Monday night at the Carbon Lounge. Good shit.

He's got some very decent tracks, I particularly like 'Galactic Fun'!

personally i think he's amazing. chocolate...gold...sunset..those are some amazing laid back, dusky heat-wave funk bangers. on top of it all he's super humble and gives it up to all his influences. i'm all for supporting good people that make great music.

i love this about him too, he doesn't try to hide his boogie funk obsession at all haha. listening to him dj and talk over the tracks is fucking hilarious too.

as far as his music, he's got a few duds but overall really really great stuff.
