I found the last one the funniest, i thought frankie boyle was quite funny.

last weeks was the least funny so far.

Yeah I enjoyed this week, hopefully they will stick with having Frankie Boyle and Josie Long on the panel. Some of the quizzes do seem quite pointless though, is it really necessary? No, it is not.

frankie boyle is ace but in conjunction with brooker his turf seems to be encroached upon. josie long is good too - she almost seemed to be the russell howard to the frankie boyle during those episodes.

infact, brooker should just replace dara o'brian on mock the week. that'd be amazing.

Excellent news I wasn't sure this show was gonna work at all and was kinda expecting a train wreck...........but it is actually pretty good. Frankie did seem a bit off kilter as Brooker is similar in a way, but still thought the banter was good.

frankie boyle is perverse, dark and brutal in his humour, russell howard wide-eyed, 'random' and cutesy. on MTW they seem to bounce off each other and work in conjunction as the two 'stars' of each respective panel, their comedy styles working in tandem to make a wider spectrum of humour. it would be no surprise that this sort of thought goes into other panel shows, including YHBW. i previously expressed the idea that boyle is similar to brooker in terms of darkness, which i think could otherwise drag the show into depths of brutality that would be uncomfortable to audiences, even if they are familiar with that humour. the inclusion of josie long, like howard, ensures the atmosphere and tone of the show stays adequately digestible and perhaps most importantly, enjoyable to watch.

in watem terms, i think it would be apt to compare the many banned members to the likes of frankie boyle or jerry sadowitz. joyrex is the force of a million incensed daily mail readers. at the same time as these people are banned, the russell howards of watmm also grow weary and jaded, simply vanishing. what is then left is a slew of lacklustre guest panelists making shitty jokes about celebrities.

Let me get this right, was it rescheduled or just repeated? Went out to see Daniel Kitson tonight( very entertaining ), so I wasnt about to miss it or not.

it was pretty mediocre until frankie boyle turned up. they just need another decent one then it'll be a great watch.

ah daniel kitson. very funny man. wonder if hes doing the same turn as when i saw him 5 years ago. is he just a touring comedian thee days or is he doing anything on tv (his own stuff i mean)?
