i cant tell if thats a triumph or a sellout for modern 'remix culture'

if i saw that on tv out of nowhere i probably would have had a heart attack

i don't know, i thought it was pretty cool. smart of that company and fortunate for that musician. i assume it was something he just did for fun and not to make some deep statement, if that's the case, then good for him for getting paid.

its like if Fox News all of a sudden blasted some Jamaican reggae dub track with Hannity singing.

it was actually quite astonishing at the time. i was at a friend's house and we had a livingroom full, all of us had just smoked, and this came on. some shared looks to make sure it was happening and then we settled into total mesmerization
