Youtube and kids

Why is it that almost all comments on youtube are made by children, or seemingly very immature people?

If most of the people who use youtube are this age (below 15, for example) perhaps there should be more filtering/censorship as it's really easy to find nasty stuff on there.

you're just witnessing what happens when the average television viewer is given an anonymous way to express their thoughts.

i think about you-tube culture every time i read some ignoranus comment (like the ones I type here) and it fucks me up when my mind goes to the possible implications it's had on our society.

so what we are saying xxx is that, kids form this age don't go out and play any more? or, rather, a lot of them don't any more? I would personally say that's quite a big hit on real social experiences.

Oh yeah, that's absolutely what I'm saying. And I agree that it's to the detriment of that generation. However, they're gonna be a freaky slice of people given the leapfrogging technology advances/steady societal crumble they're growing up in.

thing is, they'll grow to be very old too like the previous generation and I wonder how that will affect them. Socialising is a very healthy thing and I actually think it's very advantageous biologically.

The thing that pisses me off the most with comments on YouTube are the ones for the FailBlog videos. Users are only able to say "did he die?". The Joyrex of YouTube should permaban the comments forever until the end of time, I say.
