Guest lands end road
Has anyone here taken one of these exams? I'm not sure whether I should go for level 3 or level 2. I'm quite certain that if I was to take the level 3 exam tomorrow I would pass it with no problem, but level 2 seems to be a huge step up. I think it's the amount of Kanji on the level 2 exam which make it that much harder. The exam isn't until December so I guess I have more than enough time to study for it. For anyone else planning to take one of these exams, I found this site which has all the exams from previous years. http://jlpt.biz/jlpt/jlptexamine.do?level=3&year=2003 You just need to replace the year and level. ie./ level=2&year=2004 level=1&year=2006 and so forth You can go here http://jlpt.biz/datumcenter/jlpt/listenmp3/ for the audio files. Guest Hanratty
may I ask why you would need to take one of those? I am just starting to learn Japanese and am far from attempting any test, but my wife is Japanese so there is a possibility of moving there at some point. Guest lands end road
As of right now, it's just a personal challenge. Just to say I have done it. If you are living in Japan and you have your JLPT level 1 certificate, you can enroll in Japanese University or apply for a regular job (or so I've heard). Unfortunately the level 1 exam is ridiculously hard. I hear that it's even difficult for many native Japanese speakers. As for the level 4 and 3, I think people take them for the challenge. Studying for these is a good way to improve your Japanese though, as most of the material covered on the exam is what you would find in most university level Japanese text books.
