I like his talk on recursion. One technique I use sometime is I will put an effect on something(usually reverb or distortion), bounce down 1 bar(in the same audio track, same inserts), then take that bar, bounce it down with the effect on itself. I do that a number of times until the track is totally destroyed(washed out in reverb, or smashed by distortion). It has a nice effect of building up. I think I got the idea from some afx track(It was either his box energy remix, or the run the place red remix) where there is this noise sweep that gets more and more distorted, bar after bar. I think I first started experimenting with it when I did that chris moss acid remix a couple years ago(it was shitty, I liked the effect I got on that part though, can't remember the name of the track).
