Has anyone here ever...

Been involved with Boxing? Amatuer or Pro. Don't recall any boxing posts at all on these forums, thinking of ditching or at least putting music to one side and giving Boxing a crack.

The hardest thing about boxing is doing those four-flap folds so the boxes are sturdy enough to put things in, and making sure the tape doesn't get stuck so you have to search for the edge to peel it back.

I always search for the edge to peel it back. Sometimes it hit it the wrong way and have to turn it around.

It is way too early for this thread, Boxing Day isn't for months.

I hear Fred had a rough time in boxing. He got his shit packed.

Every reply here just summarizes the utter nugget faces we have on these boards. Everyone's a comedian, a poor comedian.

I've been boxing for two years at Freddie Roach's Wildcard Gym in LA. Boxing is a rough sport. Honestly. Many people think they can take getting punched in the face almost every day but once they actually get jacked in the jaw and it feels like your jaw is going to break, you either keep your composure and keep fighting like nothing happened, or you get stunned and destroyed. Not everyone can be a boxer. However you should give it a try. It develops a fierce rhythm in you and a tremendous fire. Try putting on some Venetian Snares while you train and watch the African Americans in your gym go wild. It's great.<br /><br />Summary:<br /><br />1. Makes you tough, but you have to be tough to start.<br />2. Gets you rhythmic and dancing.<br />3. Tremendously complex.<br />4. Goes well to electronic music.<br /><br />I love boxing.

Quick Edit: I've boxed in two U.S.A. amateur competitions, lost both my fights by points due to gassing. Too many burritos and pizza.

I went to college with a guy that boxed, he was a dick. So I'd say 100% of boxers I have met have been dicks.

Did it for a couple of years in Canada and then again in Korea.

The box folding technique is a bit tricky, but once you've got it down, it's all good.

haven't really boxed against an actual person, but have done a ton of heavybag work. just punching it is like the greatest form of stress relief ever
