jeremymacgregor87
If anyone has been following Chris Morris' new feature film project Four Lions (or Boilerhouse, so I've read), a few details have emerged (and with Kevin Eldon!) Some news: Four Lions update in the Guardian I can't wait for this. Any Chris Morris fans out there? Guest Iain C
I'm a fan but I don't think he's done anything truly great since Brass Eye. And I prefer the Day Today! Guest Iain C
LOL, whatever. His stuff is better when it's tempered by minds like Coogan, Baynham, Iannucci et al... but of course I'm just being contrarian for the sake of it, it's not like I'm an actual fan or anything. Jam was alright, I watched it again a few weeks ago after digging the DVD out. It's incredibly hit or miss for me though. The radio programme was very good, the monologues were by far the funniest aspect of it I reckon and it's a shame they didn't really make it into the TV show... My Wrongs showed how well some of them could have worked! Guest Iain C
Yeah, on my last computer I used to have hours and hours of Blue Jam, most of the episodes in fact, as low-quality RealMedia files. If I still had them I'd compile my own best-of because the CD was something of a let-down. I watched it last year and just didn't find any of it funny, which is a shame but there you go. Jam just hits the spot with me - surreal, pitch black humour. Well shot. Great music. Comes together perfectly in my opinion. Guest Iain C
Lovely, did you grab the Radio 1 music shows as well? They were absolutely hilarious. The Wayne Carr interview in the original post is great, but I think the funniest one was when he interviewed 2 Unlimited. "Don't you think it's rather negative to have the word 'no' twelve times in a row?" "Are there any things that you think there should be a limit on?" "[long pause]... Racism."
