I've gotten my own crusted jizz out of carpet before and that was easy.

But this is unbelievable. Vinegar doesn't work. Laundry stain remover doesn't work. Baking soda doesn't work.

There's a spot in my living room where the carpet is crusted together in about an inch-wide circle, from when a mouse or vole or some kind of rodent chewed its way into my apartment a few weeks ago and it must have pissed there.

How do I fix this, WATMM?

I spent the last year in a house with a pretty serious mouse infestation (never live with white people with dreadlocks), and they even made it into my bedroom. Although I found a lot of shit on the floor, and could certainly SMELL their piss, I never noticed any crustiness in the carpets. Are you sure it's not something else?

I was out of town the weekend the mouse made it in. The crusty spot was not there before I left. It was there when I came back and also found mouse poops on the stove. I don't know what else it could be.

I've never spilled any food or drink in that area.

Have you tried any of those products designed specifically for animal urine? I know they make stain removers specifically for pet owners that are supposed to work.

I don't know if you have a pet, but the spray works well. I am sure you could use it for again if you picked up a bottle.

The pet store I used to work in swore by this stuff.  It's pretty effective.

The only way to get mouse pee out of a carpet is with lashings of human shit, rub it in untill smooth and almost invincible, and then clean with a wet wipe, the wipe should glide off effortlessly and there will be no stain on the wet wipe, that means the job is done.
