get a panasonic G10 series plasma. incredible price/performance ratio. LCDs can't touch it - fantastic black levels and contrast.

that's just too much money. we're looking at this one. Less money, but our place is small so 32" is probably as big as we can go.

That's a good choice, you really can't go wrong with Panasonic and Samsung LCDs. Make sure you get the right cables and hook everything up correctly for the best picture quality.

i have a 32 inch Sony Bravia....works great, and its 720 apparently, but in the PS3 it comes in at 1080p res....i dont understand it, but im happy with it.

Your TV must be 1080p because if you set your ps3/360 to a higher setting than what it's capable of the screen distorts. 720 can go to 1080i, not 1080p.
