non-Quaristice tracks from the Quaristice era

basically i only have the standard Quaristice (which i'm still learning to appreciate), and haven't yet heard or bothered to hear any of the other stuff. i know about Quadrange, and apparently there's some bonus shite the Japs were given.

is it all worth tracking down?

what is quaristice versions even like? the titles look very similar to the other CD, but i would guess they are in not reworkings of any kind. but rather original material

i haven't given versions a real listen, but i really enjoy fol4 more than fol3. chenc9-x is cool the way it turns into perlence. nofour is just ace ambience. other than that it's basically quaristice again.

srsly i would pay like $10 just for that song

I would suggest pursuing all of these tracks ONLY if you're die hard into Quaristice. There are some nice alternate versions of the Quaristice tracks on these releases but most of them get kinda repetitive. Good luck!

it was only recently i realised how great quaristice was. i just wasn't used to it at first, but now i think the style is excellent.

i;m actually hearing some of verson now, the alternate IO sounds like it just got an extension

IO has really grown on me, i love the way the voice is processed in that track. If you listen closely they almost sound like lyrics but can be barely be made out. Reminds me a lot of Rpeg.

i love the voice processing going on in Quaristice, the PLC too has some great stuff towards the end. Didn't somebody here figure out what it was sampled from? an old hip hop track if i remember correctly...

coenc3 is the best! you have to get it on the 45 tribute but there are a few other good tracks on there, or a lot if you have bad taste.

If you like quaristice get all the other stuff. Versions has some really cool new chunks, especially the PLC version that has a wicked part that was not on the album at all.

some of it is just purely extension, but most of it is awesome regardless.

Quadrange is like an even more extended, more ambient/drone focused take of the quaristice album.

All of it is awesome IMO but when you go into it, dont expect alot of brand new stuff, just a different season in quaristice land

yeah thats one of the only Quaristice era tracks (not released as part of quad range or versions) that i know of besides the new one on the Black Dog ep. They also did a remix of an OST track that was supposed to come out as a 12" single around the time of Quaristice's release, i have no idea when it's coming out though.

versions is worth it for the extended versions of IO and the plc alone

yeah, versions is the one you want. it's almost like that was supposed to be the actual album.

went on a big hunt last night and got hold of everything bar nu_Nr6d (thanks to bleep and *ahem* undisclosed sources).

they're all on my phone now (filled the memory completely), i'll give it all a big listen sometime soon.

had a skim through, most of the 90101-whatever tracks sound pretty much the same.

yeah the 90101s are pretty annoying, but i do really love the one version on quadrange that has a bit more groove to it. i think its 90101-51-19

when you do quadrange, listen to the whole thing all the way through even though the 90101 tracks are repedetive, thats the deliberate mood of the album

yes! this track is very much quality. i got the whole compilation but i don't want to sit through all the terrible. i figured this was the only decent track on there after i heard how shitty the vsnares collab was.
