The Antlers - Hospice

This is one of those albums you hear once, and immediately want to hear again. Beautiful and awesome.

Musically, it's up there with the early works of Godspeed You Black Emperor, Radiohead circa Kid-A, and The Arcade Fire - Funeral.

I thought that album was great on the first listen but jesus his vocals really grate you, even if his lyrics are good. The vocals just ruin it for me

certainly sounds like i would like it based on he bands you mentioned. i'll give it a go

I likes what I hears.

Listened to this album while riding the train today and it was a very enjoyable experience.

It has beautiful songwriting, some nice surprises, doesn't get boring but still works as an album.

Loved it.

so 2009 was a pretty bad year for music then ...eh ..

The Antlers recently played a free show with Dinosaur JR., you really can't argue with a J Mascis endorsement.

Just listening to this again the last couple days. Gets better with age. Great album.

the vocals on the kettering sound like the old guy from family guy

but this shit is amazing

If you can find it, "The Antlers - Uprooted" (2006) is also great.

Can't get enough of this stuff.
