Guest spraaaa
I am doing more hardware stuff lately, currently with an mpc, electribe ea 1, and electro harmonix micro synth pedal. I really like the cabability, with the electribe, to sequence some of the knobs with midi and tweak others, and since the mpc effects can't be sequenced I'm wondering if there are some hardware effects I could use in a similar way. just something like a simple guitar delay or flange pedal but with midi in could be really sweet. I know there's a ton of different shit out there but any suggestions? Quote Link to comment https://forum.watmm.com/topic/48906-hardware-fx-with-midi/ Share on other sites
Berk
I have a Behringer Virtualizer Pro DSP2024P with MIDI IN, but I don't know how well it reacts to MIDI messages, haven't tried it with MIDI yet. kakapo
Have a look at the ensoniq DP4+ or DP2. I got my DP2 in perfect nic for the cost of a new foot pedal. Ensoniq effets were a favourite of Autechre, Daft Punk and countless others... better as a synth fx than guitar. soundwave
the problem with controlling some hardware FX via MIDI is that you'll often get zipping or popping with fast or stepped controller settings. In this respect I've found the Kaoss pad 3 to be quite solid when being sequenced.
