Ninja Gaiden Sigma 2 is a remake/improvement over Ninja Gaiden II, which was previously an XBOX 360 exclusive.

Thinking about selling my ps3, I hardly ever use it.

If you've got the 60GB PS3 that has the full backwards compatibility, you can get a pretty good price on Ebay for it, although unless you're sure you're not going to be wanting it anymore or that's not a factor for you, I'd hang onto it. it's not like you're paying a monthly fee *cough*XBOX LIVE*cough* to utilize it or anything...

And turn it fully off (via the switch in the back) if you're not using it - even in standby mode (red light), it still draws a lot of current.

I have the 80gb, not sure if it's fully backwards compatible but I've played ps2 games on it. I just don't really get into it like way back, the only game I've spent any considerable amount of time on is Fight Night4. otherwise it sits unused for long stretches, wasting away.

OK, you have the partially-backwards compatible version - again, kinda rare these days. You don't use it for Blu-Ray movies? Redbox is testing BD rentals in Nevada right now, with a nationwide rollout to follow soon. 2 bucks a pop.

If I'm remembering correctly, NG2 got great ratings.

Anyway, THIS is why the PS3 is awesome.

Itagaki is not involved with the PS3 version (though, from that commercial, you'd think the opposite eh?). Early reports suggest that they have fixed the camera somewhat, plus they've added some new playable characters/enemies/etc. Oh, and a Co-OP mode which sounds like a BLAST. Gore has mostly been replaced by a mist of purple smoke, though de-limbing is still integral to the gameplay.

I'm sort of pissed that they aren't supporting the Xbox with a NGII - Black or some such thing, but after Itagaki and the 40+ devs/staff left, it appears they're focusing on the Sigma for the PS3 and then a NGIII for both consoles.

If I were a PS3 man, I would be blowing my load until my penis leaked blood over this game. As it stands, I just will have to pray that someone buys me a PS3 Slim for Christmas or something and hold myself over with NGII on the Xbox.

edit: And, what? Are they suggesting the sixaxis controller will be used to make your character's boobs jiggle?

Why don't you purchase an Xbox360 as well and have fun with both consoles? I think you are afraid that your sponsor, Sony, finds out you may enjoy another console.
