macbook pro fan runs all the time

I have a motu ultralight 2 interface

and the fan of my macbook starts running every time I use the interface even for listening to mp3s

how can I stop this?

I thought about reinstalling the system as the driver is up to date

Is there another solution?

just remove the fan, or better yet stick something in it to keep it from turning. problem solved!

I'm not familiar with your soundcard, but I figure your mac gets hot because you're powering your soundcard via usb/firewire and thus the fan turns on, if the soundcard has an optional external power input you could try using that instead.
