o00o Posted October 6, 2009 Report Share Posted October 6, 2009 (edited) I have a motu ultralight 2 interface Reveal hidden contents and the fan of my macbook starts running every time I use the interface even for listening to mp3s how can I stop this? I thought about reinstalling the system as the driver is up to date Is there another solution? Silent Member Posted October 7, 2009 Report Share Posted October 7, 2009 I'm not familiar with your soundcard, but I figure your mac gets hot because you're powering your soundcard via usb/firewire and thus the fan turns on, if the soundcard has an optional external power input you could try using that instead.
