I need control!

I have a question regarding using Ableton Live, hopefully someone knows the answer to this.

I have been using Ableton Live 3 for quite a while (only for live gigs, not for recording or production) and so far it's been great. Recently however, I have been trying to play bass along to the live set and I'm having a few control difficulties.

I use about 40-50 loops in sequence and go through them using the down curser key and the enter button to play them (I can't use key shortcuts to do this because I simply run out of keys). However, in order to do this while playing bass I need to be able to scroll through the samples (using equivalent midi controls to the down curser key and enter key) by using a midi footswitch, however i'm not sure if this can be done.

Is there any way of using midi control to go up and down on the ableton screen as well as the play/enter function?? I can't seem to find this midi facility. Any help would be appreciated.
