Dying endless rotary knobs

I have a Waldorf Blofeld and an Electribe MX. The knobs that are dying are the main selector knob on the Electribe and one of the parameter changin' knobs on the Blofeld. The one on the Electribe tends to go the opposite direction unless I apply a certain amount of pressure at a certain angle to the knob. The Blofeld's filter cutoff knob jumps and skips all over the place when twiddled.

Any advice on a fix?

This is totally irrelevant but if you haven't seen Fawlty Towers I'm going to send you it.

the same thing is happening to my polyevolver, it's kind of unfortunate. I'd almost rather have standard non endless knobs just so they dont have such a high likihood of getting fucked

Yeah, I actually prefer the finite knobs. The endless digital ones feel like they're not real or something...
