Recommended Posts

i wonder if there is a plugin or software that can convert speech to midi like this . i know of many speech 2 midi converters but they are nothing like this

I posted this in the youtube thread.

You think RDJ with his laptop-controlled drukqs piano would have thought of this first.

Peter Ablinger - A Letter From Schoenberg

not really intelligible. here's a better version, with subtitles (but no video):

yeah, i can remember a lecturer at uni showing me a few years ago. he put a shite coldplay track into it and it showed what underlying notes were being played using midi piano roll. quite cool.

is there a program that does Fourier analysis and converts it to midi piano roll?

Yeah. Any of you who are familiar with the technical side of it, would there need to be analysis of the piano waveforms first to produce this. It seems counterintuitive to think they could just make assumptions about the fundementals and it would sound this nice.

i dont think it would need to be done on the piano, it seems to me like it could work with any instrument that has a similar timbre to a piano even an electronic one.
