.flac conversion

So my mp3 player is a piece of shit and can't handle .flac so I figured WATMM would know what's the best programme for converting .flac to .mp3

Anyone?

maybe a firmware upgrade helps?

1. Download Winamp (winamp.com)

2. Go to File->Options->Preferences

3. Select "Nullsoft DiskWriter [out_disk.dll]" in the right-hand list

4. Click 'Configure' button down below

5. Set new file save location and format preferences

6. Click OK, click Close on pref window

7. Open a .flac, hit play. The file will be converted and saved in where you specified.

8. Don't forget to switch back to "Nullsoft DirectSoundOutput" when you're done so you can listen to music regularly again.

in case you have an iphone / ipod you can convert to apple lossless to keep the quality

also an mp3 player ist a piece of shit if it doesnt play flac, i dont know of any that do. i dont have a suggestion for a converter unless youre on a mac. 'Switch' on a mac

Foobar2000 allows you to convert flac files into VBR mp3s. As for CBR mp3s, use Audacity.

Mediamonkey is the ONLY player you should even have installed. only.

if you want to import flac into itunes you can use "fluke"

been working great for me over here.
