Monthly internet usage

So i'm with BT (British Telecom) as my ISP, and for the second time in three months my bandwidth has exceeded 80gb...

They've given me a 'fair use' warning and that if it goes above 100gb they'll limit our connection to 1mbps for 30 days.

This is fucking bollocks. Do you guys see 100gb as a lot? People in Korea are downloading 200gig HD shemale porn in 20 seconds...

Mine is capped at 95 gigs. There's a $25 fee if you go over. Happens maybe once or twice a year.

I'm on an 'Unlimited' package with Sky, but the fuckers have capped my speed down to 1.5mbps. But one silly person that lives somewhere near by is getting 10mbps and hasn't got protection on their wireless, so any big files I yoink off their connection.

they're quite heavy, and a few of them mounts up to near 50gb

Fuckin' 'ell man, I only download like 15gb per month tops.... And that's only cos recently my other house mates have discovered that my PS3 in the living room can play the iPlayer though the TV. God knows how I'd approach even half your usage limit !

Seriously, the cap used to be 20gb download/10gb upload, and it is now a 30gb total. It was hell of a change for me. I have to download files at school so I don't exceed the limit.

Orange is one of the worst. Go over 40GB in a month (on an unlimited package) and they cap you to 0.5mpbs without telling you.

about 130gb. virgin media give you usenet access but they don't really advertise it.

I'm sure it's coming sooner than we think, at least here in the US. Luckily not yet though.

I have no idea what my monthly usage would be. Probably not too bad, I don't stream or download too much.

you might be able to find out some stats by logging into your router, perhaps there's some control panel you can log in to on your isp's website too.

plus im on a LAN of teh uni so i gets unlimited bandwith and speeds that exceeds a couple of MB's per sec.

No limit here and a 10 mbit connection.
