Guest idrn
i'll just copy/paste what i sent to customer support (sometimes they take ages to reply); Quote Adobe Premiere automatically scans for VSTs on first startup, which was causing problems, so I moved my 'HD > Library > Audio > Plugins > VST' and 'User > Library > Audio > Plugins > VST' folders elsewhere whilst I did so. I then moved them back exactly to their original places, and didn't change anything. The next time I opened a project I was working on in Ableton, I got an error message saying plugins were missing. On closer inspection, all of the Audio Units had disappeared except for the generic Apple ones, whilst the VSTs are still intact and working. So far I have tried; - Rescanning the AU folder - Using time machine to restore both Plugins folders - Installing the latest version of Ableton but I still have the same problem. any ideas please? i don't see what could've been changed just by moving a vst folder? ableton 8 has given me nothing but fucking trouble since i bought it! Bubba69
but the AUs are still physically there? but LIVE won't detect them? thats really weird. Were the AUs in the same folder as the vsts, or a different folder? I would try moving the user config files(which probably are kept intact for the re-install) for LIVE somewhere else, and then do the rescan again.
