i had a dream

i had a dream last night that my brother in law wanted music from me so that he could use it for his class. he teaches photography and he wanted some type of background music. the style wasn't ambient though that i thought about in my dream, but it was beatless.

so i'm thinkingt about trying to make beatless music, just like an orchestra doesn't always have drums

so i'm going to try this

unfortunate the dream wasn't real cause in it he said he'd pay me, lol....

i think just focussing on melody and harmony in a track could be an interesting route/

i should probably try this for shits and giggles myself. I love teh beats though.

You can tell how he and aphex both use an EMS synthi when comparing E2-E4 to like.. SAW2 etc. Really similar sounds they use that are almost percussive sounds, but are not.

I really want an ems synthi, might try to make a clone from scratch one day. (possibly customize it more while making it, but this is will likely never happen any how, though people have done it before and the results were kinda iffy)

i think we've gotten our dreams mixed up. uncle of mine that does animation just contacted me about music and sound/fx. i haven't replied yet -- not sure if this would be paid, good to know thx
