New Forum Skin

On the skin dropdown (lower left corner), I've added a new skin, called CleanCut - it's a freely available skin and I've modified it with the custom navigation bar that the default skins have, as well as taking out the masthead, so those who like their vertical space should appreciate the more screen real estate. It also features a slightly different colour scheme, so those who are tired of the blue/green one may like this better. it also minimizes the user info that was originally in the masthead, making it thin and unobtrusive as possible, again with the goal of screen real estate.

It's a variable width skin, so those who prefer fixed-width will have to wait a bit for me to make a variant with a fixed width, but that should come shortly.

I'm working on that... should have it sorted shortly.

Grey one? This version of the board, or one from long ago? If it was the recent gray skin, I need to see if they updated it and I'll put that back on as well as I liked that one too.

I've read where they're working on 'classic' versions based on the really old skins (back before we went to this version of the board - the blue and the grey ones we had before we went to this version).

I need to get back to designing a custom WATMM skin as well... *sigh*

keep it like this but change some colours.... maybe make it all black and white..

Actually, it will have quite a different colour scheme to fit in with the rest of the site (once it gets going)... *sigh*

EDIT: Actually I've gone back to the default ipb (fixed width), the table borders and icons in the new one were making the whole page rather 'busy'

Something has been bothering since you created the Music Discussion forum... Why isn't the General Banter on the very left of the navigation bar? That should be General Banter | Music Discussion instead of Music Discussion | General Banter.

It's that way as Music Discussion is the primary forum now (or at least it should be, focus-wise), with General Banter being secondary.

It would be like going to a Nissan Enthusiasts messageboard and seeing Honda or Pork Pies as the primary forum.

I don't think it's the skin per se; I think it's just general network traffic. I was experiencing the same awhile back, and now it's fine.
