Oval Moon (IBC Mx)

What do you think of this? I was listening and enjoying it on 2 levels;

1 Simply enjoying the song, beats melody etc.

2 Its a bit like listening to a time capsule, assuming it was made when it sounds it was made, ie. about 1990.

I would buy an album of this sort of stuff by them, would love to hear more.

I know they still use a lot of old gear and stuff but someone should challenge them to make a new album using only this gear (Incunabula era) and no computers!

Yeah man this track is amazing. I like your idea of it being sort of like a time capsule, which it pretty much is. They have like recorded an album and publicly not released it until now. That would have been better.

there was a whole live set dating Pre Incunabula that was leaked on the internet right after Quaristice came out. it's a direct sound board rip and most of the songs on it sound very similar to Oval Moon, kind of a more ravey/chillout Incunabula . Ill try to find a link to it to post here

Just a note: The copyright on the record is 1991, which definitely means this was written in the Incunabula days. Also, the Boards of Canada seven forty seven copyright is 2001, which puts an upper bound on when it could have been written.

Nice! Downloading and looking forward. And yes indeed Oval Moon is completely great, was surprised to see 1991 in the booklet, "warp hidden treasures" sure this one was worth it, with the Plaid one
